Joe Biden and Democrats Are Trying To Step It Up

Trump got a bump from the RNC

An important election is on the horizon.

Although it is difficult with social distancing restrictions, the campaign for President of the United States is in full force. With only two months left to go before the election, both sides are campaigning heavily. Much of it is being done through television, social media, and emails. I regularly get emails from both the Democratic and Republican campaigns.

Polls have indicated that the race has tightened since Trump seems to have gotten a bump from the Republican National Convention (RNC). Joe Biden’s lead has lessened slightly according to the polls. He has his smallest margin in the past two months.

While Democrats basically could not stomach what they heard from the RNC and many stopped watching if they had even started to watch, Republicans seemed to be very happy and energized by what they heard.

There was a Republican survey that came out on Facebook asking what people thought of the RNC. It was very interesting to see the responses. Although some people against Trump said clearly what they thought of him and his Presidency, there were many devoted fans of Trump who were happy to praise him. It is quite strange that so many people who say they value honesty and strong morals can be so devoted to Trump.

Yahoo News reported that a separate sample of registered voters was done before and after the Democratic National Convention. Biden had an 11 point lead in that poll.

It was also reported by Yahoo News that most voters in America have made up their minds how they will vote. They said that 8 percent of voters remain undecided. The report also stated that there was no change in the voting intentions for Congressional races. Of the registered voters, 49 percent say they will vote Democratic with 38 percent saying they will vote Republican.

There is plenty of hate going around during this campaign. As someone who is working on the Biden campaign, I see a lot of it aimed at the Democrats. It works both ways, however. Campaigns are not places where people express any praise for their opponents. It is quite the opposite.

Hopefully, goodness and truth will prevail.

BE SURE TO VOTE IF YOU ARE ABLE.
