The Man On The Road

He decided to drive in the lonely dark night.
looking for an adventure;
or something to pass the time

He found himself in the same bar,
drinking the same drink where he met her,
wondering what could have been
and of moments that weren’t so grim

Wanting adventure he walked out
looking for whore maybe even something more to numb his mind,
from all those painful thoughts that made him cry

He decided to drive on that lonely dark road
Yearning for something more
something to give him purpose
for he has lost all hope

Will there ever be a time
for this young man
to restore his life
or is he stuck on this road
until day he dies.
