This Cloud Brings Rain

Though a cloud be cast over us
Though it looks like it’s about to end
But this cloud does not bring night
This cloud brings rain
Rain of many good things

It brings a rain of the spirit
As God promised for the last days
There are no ‘laster’ days than these
We will witness the greatest outpour
Heaven indeed kept the best wine for the last

It brings a rain of faith
As God promised for our days
We’ll go from faith to faith
The greatest faith ever is for now
Because greater works are due

It brings a rain of the anointing
As God promised for our generation
To anoint a generation to set nature free
Redemption cuts across all creation
And we are the ones to pass than on

It brings a rain of courage
As we need so desperately
In the midst of the jeers and mockery
When Jesus isn’t as fashionable
We proclaim the gospel boldly

It brings a rain of compassion
To bury evil with so much good
To undo hatred with so much love
To break the cycles of offense
To unlock heaven’s best with love
