The Story of our Lines

We are all a point. A single entity in this 3-Dimensional world, travelling through a fourth dimension called Time. Our path throughout Time can be seen as lines. These lines have a plethora of shapes, patterns and interactions.

At the beginning, each point starts at a point in space, and each moves through Time at different speeds. No, not time travelling, but each point has the ability and capability to explore other areas in this space. Some points are naturally fast, while others take detours.

Some goes round and round, trapped in a loop, taking a longer path than most to explore other areas. Perhaps this type of line is indicative of the poverty cycle? Or maybe it’s about the lives of those who take drugs?

Some lines seem constant. Others… not so much.

Are these fluctuations good or bad? We’ll have to see. Perhaps this is a better path as compared to a constant one, since there is so much Change and Change is the only constant! Nevertheless, the point has already made its path — there’s no changing it. Or, maybe, the constant path is better! We can predict its trajectory, and it does not make unnecessary detours! There’s no need to keep tabs on it since we are able to predict where it is headed.

Regardless of the point’s starting conditions, there are always similar patterns in the paths the points take. Should this matter? The dotted lines are indicative of a perceived section of space. Many lines cross these imaginary boundaries countless times, while there are others that remain in a certain section of this space.

Generally, there are groups of lines that bunch together, taking a similar path, with variations every now and then. What I’ve noticed that as Time progresses, the number of lines in each group tends to drop, as the initially large bunch of lines split from each other. Some lines regroup again, yes, but most do not. Those lines that regroup are noted to have been together for extended periods of Time.

Let’s go into specifics now - Particularly the interaction between two lines!

Each line usually intersects with other lines for a brief period of time before each goes their own way. Some lines are quite lucky — they meet another line and they pair up all the way! However, most lines don’t have the same fate. They meet multiple lines throughout their path, some leaving, some returning, but most end up with another line sticking with them throughout the journey.

Some oscillating patterns often lead to grouping of the 2 lines, but in some cases, the oscillation leads to separation. But analysis must not be done too quickly. Some lines return to intersect the partner line after a long detour…

…but you can’t be certain when the lines will separate or meet again down the path.

In general, it’s impossible to predict when the lines intersect, and whether or not they will separate. There are many possible confounders, which is beyond my capacity and knowledge to explain.

But what doesn’t change, is the fact that these 2 lines have intersected at time= t.

The lines cannot be erased, and whether or not you accept that fact, it is undeniable that your path has crossed and intertwined with others, even for a brief moment in Time.
