Time As We Know It

Time, what does time really mean to any of us? Is it even important?

Time is irrelevant and it only matters if you care. When you do care, it’s precious for those with a purpose — those that know there is never enough and know that every moment spent wasted is a moment they will not get back to further achieve their goals.

You will not make time unless the reason you are looking for time is more important than what you already use it for. Is it more important than watching your favorite television show? It has to be more important than going to the bar or playing video games. And even sometimes, more important than hanging out with family or friends.

But this rationale would not apply to you unless you find something that is more important, something that you want to pursue, and something that you want to accomplish. Without a purpose you will never lift a finger. If it is not enough and you want something you see others have, you must truly understand that it takes time and work. No one should ever work sixteen hour days seven days a week unless they want to.

Figure out what you want, how to get there, and how much work you are willing to put in everyday. Is there ever enough time? Will you make it with only two hours of work? Maybe you need four hours a day or even six hours. Are you willing to carve out those extra hours by trimming off all of the excess fat? Or, you need to realize something has to be done in order to achieve your goal. Time is the only thing you can control — not the people, not the economy and surely not the world.

P.S. But if you love your job and your way of life, than there is absolutely nothing wrong with that either.
